Well Child’s Helping Hands is a unique scheme offering practical support to sick children and their families through one off home improvement projects, such as a garden or bedroom makeover.
Strongbones provides grants to help children who have arthritis, scoliosis, brittle bone disease and all other conditions of the bone. The grants are for medical equipment, computers/software, toys, sensory equipment, short breaks away, days out and household bills. Grants are normally £250 per child, but this figure is flexible, depending on the child’s circumstances.
The Family Fund will look at any grant request that relates to the needs of a disabled or seriously ill child, young person and their family. Families often apply for essential items such as washing machines, but they can also help young people aged 17 and under with grants that have particular meaning to their age group, such as equipment for college.
