Early Support

Early Support are based at the Council for Disabled Children at the National Children’s Bureau, with a small central team, responsible for ensuring that Early Support is extended from birth to adulthood and embedded in local areas across England. Early Support ensures that service delivery is child, young person and family centred. It focuses on enabling services and practitioners to work in partnership with children, young people and their families. Our aim is to increase the chances that disabled children, young people and their families are able to live ‘ordinary’ lives. Early Support has developed a range of FREE resources and training, including key working training, that aim to enable parents, children and young people to make informed choices, lead on decision making, ensure their priorities are the focus and coordinate services around them.
